But today we got some good news the song is going to be featured along with a few other songs off backyard heroes on a skating android game coming out very soon. They emailed us a few screen shots of what it will look like while musics playing. Another small victory for us this year. Thanks for all the support neighbors. Kidd

For those of you who don’t know, last summer I spent a few weeks on the phone with Sonja Norwood. Sonja is Brandy & Ray J’s mother and manager and you may have seen her on their TV show “Family Business.” She has managed other legends like Mase, silk and many more. I liked how she really fought for her kids as a manager so I took a shot in the dark and emailed her a few music videos.  One night I get a phone call from her out of the blue and she’s like “Kidd this is Sonja Norwood!” I was amazed that she actually called me lol.  She explained to me that she liked my look and vibe especially in the video for “Rush Rock Remix.” What I thought was going to be a 10 minute conversation turned into about 2 hours. She explained to me I was the 1st person besides her kids she had called in 5 years about management so needless to say I was honored.  Our follow up phone calls led to her asking me who my dream producer was and I replied “Cisco Adler.” I knew Cisco could no doubt create the vibe I was going for a mix between Eminem, Jack Johnson, Kid Rock and the beastie boys.  She said I should work with him and we should go from there. I was like fuck how can I make this happen so I reached out to a few people and a few months later by some miracle I was in the studio making music with Cisco. The phone calls with Sonja made me think outside the box and take an even bigger leap of faith. If you’ve been following my career you know how many crazy risks and shots in the dark I’ve taken including working with my Homeless DJ lol. So here’s to Sonja for changing my life and I wanted to thank her from the bottom of my heart.  The songs I made with Cisco have opened numerous doors and opportunities. Thanks to all my fans aka my neighbors who have supported me threw out the years. I hope this inspires you to Risk Big & take a shot in the dark…. Kidd Russell

This week me and the homeless DJ headed to Highland Park high school in Illinois to talk to the students and also perform our new song PULASKI DAY!!!  We laughed, we cried, we inspired and most of all we got to talk with the kids.  Here is Kidd’s local news The Deerfield Patch’s coverage of the event.  Also we linked the video to Episode 2 of “Everydays Pulaski Day” (back to school) which chronicles the retardedness that goes with hanging out with me and my DJ.
