What up Neighbors! Here is our new home made vid for “SHE FEELS LIKE HOME!” We had a blast shooting this and I hope you enjoy watching it. We shot this on the last day of summer riding boats, fishing, boozing, camp fire sing-a-longs with our ladies the “she feels like home” girls. Please share, repost if you dig it. For those of you who don’t know, last summer I spent a few weeks on the phone with Sonja Norwood. Sonja is Brandy & Ray J’s mother and manager and you may have seen her on their TV show “Family Business.” She has managed other legends like Mase, silk and many more. I liked how she really fought for her kids as a manager so I took a shot in the dark and emailed her a few music videos.  One night I get a phone call from her out of the blue and she’s like “Kidd this is Sonja Norwood!” I was amazed that she actually called me lol.  She explained to me that she liked my look and vibe especially in the video for “Rush Rock Remix.” What I thought was going to be a 10 minute conversation turned into about 2 hours. She explained to me I was the 1st person besides her kids she had called in 5 years about management so needless to say I was honored.  Our follow up phone calls led to her asking me who my dream producer was and I replied “Cisco Adler.” I knew Cisco could no doubt create the vibe I was going for a mix between Eminem, Jack Johnson, Kid Rock and the beastie boys.  She said I should work with him and we should go from there. I was like fuck how can I make this happen so I reached out to a few people and a few months later by some miracle I was in the studio making music with Cisco. The phone calls with Sonja made me think outside the box and take an even bigger leap of faith. If you’ve been following my career you know how many crazy risks and shots in the dark I’ve taken including working with my Homeless DJ lol. So here’s to Sonja for changing my life and I wanted to thank her from the bottom of my heart.  The songs I made with Cisco have opened numerous doors and opportunities. Thanks to all my fans aka my neighbors who have supported me threw out the years. I hope this inspires you to Risk Big & take a shot in the dark…. Kidd Russell

Last fall I flew out to LA to work with Cisco Adler the producer behind one of my all time favorite groups SHWAYZE. Ross Golan, the genius behind my song E NORTH AVE joined us as well. Here is footage of us in the studio and it may remind you of an episode of Buzzing lol. Presently I’m out in LA about 7 months later shooting the first of 3 videos for the project we did together.  My boy Matt Jenkins and Sean “Illaid” Humes are finishing up the project in Chicago.  We will be dropping the new amazing neighbor friendly music this spring/summer!!! Just got back from LA working with Cisco Adler in his Malibu studios.  Will be posting more about the week we rocked in Cisco’s house the same one from Buzzin. It was a dream come true not to mention with the help of my friend and CO-Writer Ross Golan we came up with several insane songs.  I’m 5 songs deep officially on 3rd album!
